Everest Therapy Solutions
Frequently Asked Questions
We know starting therapy — or even just considering it — can come with a lot of questions. Below you’ll find answers to the most common things people ask before getting started.
And if you don’t see what you’re looking for, you don’t have to figure it out alone. You’re always welcome to call us. We’re happy to talk things through, clarify anything, and help you decide whether we’re the right fit for you.
1. How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. You can call, text, or submit a contact form on our website. Our clinical care coordinator, Stacey, is trained to help find the best fit for your needs, and will connect with you to learn what you’re looking for and match you with a therapist who fits.
And if for any reason we’re not the right fit, we’ll help you find the right therapist—even if that isn’t with us.
2. What if I feel nervous about starting?
That’s completely normal. Most people feel some level of hesitation before their first session.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. Therapy is a space where you can show up as you are—and begin from there.
3. What makes Everest Therapy Solutions different?
We focus on helping you take action—not just talk about problems.
Our practice isn’t just about being okay—it’s about connecting with what truly matters and creating the life you want to live.
In many cases, people shift from wanting to stop pain to truly gaining a sense of fulfillment.
Our approach is grounded in evidence-based methods that help you:
-
Step out of patterns that keep you stuck
-
Take meaningful action—even when it’s uncomfortable
-
Build a life that actually feels fulfilling
For many people, therapy doesn’t stop once problems are no longer getting in the way. It becomes a space to continue growing—shifting from simply getting back to baseline to actively creating a more fulfilling life.
And above all, our priority is helping you get the right support—even if that means connecting you with someone outside of our practice.
4. What can therapy help with?
Therapy can support you in a wide range of areas, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, stress, substance use, and life transitions.
At Everest Therapy Solutions, we focus on helping you take meaningful action—so you can move forward instead of feeling stuck.
Many people also choose to continue engaging in therapy even after their initial concerns stop feeling like roadblocks. At that point, the focus naturally shifts toward building a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
5. How do I know if therapy is working?
Therapy isn’t about staying where you are—it’s about moving your life forward in a meaningful way.
You may start noticing changes like:
-
Responding differently to stress
-
Taking action even when it’s uncomfortable
-
Feeling more aligned with what matters to you
Those are signs things are moving in the right direction.
6. How often should I come to therapy?
We typically recommend starting with weekly sessions.
Research shows that consistent, more frequent sessions early in therapy are a stronger predictor of long-term, lasting change than spreading sessions out over a longer period of time.
As you begin making progress, we can adjust the frequency together based on your goals and what works best for you.
7. Can I choose my therapist?
Yes. If you have a preference, we’ll do our best to match you with the right fit.
If we’re not the best match for what you’re looking for, we’ll help you find the right therapist—even if that isn’t with us.
8. Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
We offer both in-person sessions and secure tele-health appointments. This gives you the flexibility to choose what works best for your schedule and comfort.
9. How much does therapy cost?
Session rates vary depending on the therapist and service. We’ll go over all costs clearly before getting started so there are no surprises.
If you have a PPO insurance plan, your plan may reimburse up to 100% of the cost, depending on your specific benefits.
10. Do you accept insurance?
We are out-of-network with insurance, which allows us to provide high-quality, individualized care without restrictions from insurance companies.
If you have a PPO insurance plan, your plan may reimburse up to 100% of the cost, depending on your benefits. We can provide what's called a "superbill" for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement, and we’ll walk you through exactly how to submit it.
11. What is a superbill?
A superbill is a document you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Depending on your plan—especially if you have a PPO—this may cover a significant portion, or even up to 100%, of your session cost.
12. How long are sessions?
Most sessions are around 50 minutes. This gives us enough time to focus on what matters most while keeping things structured and effective.
13. Do you offer couples therapy?
Yes. We work with couples to improve communication, rebuild trust, and create stronger, more connected relationships.
14. What if I want to stop therapy?
We will always respect your choice to stop therapy.
The best way to stop therapy is to communicate openly with your therapist. This helps ensure you’re moving in the right direction and that the progress you’ve made continues after therapy.
We also understand that not every therapist is the right fit. If that’s the case, we want the opportunity to help you find the best fit—so you can continue moving forward with the right support.
